Scripture is verbally inspired, they are inerrant
A) The name (singular)
1) "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father,
and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit." (see Matt. 28:19)
2) "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under
heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." (see Acts 4:12)
B) The name is very important, it is in the name of Jesus that sins are remitted. When
you call on Jesus' name, it is to call on His blood. His blood remits the sin. When
you call on the name of Jesus you are calling on the power that is in the blood.
1) "Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the
name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the
Holy Ghost." (see Acts 2:38)
2) You must call on the name - (see Acts 22:16)
3) Jesus saves us from sin - (see Matt. 1:21) |
